My focus as a teacher is to encompass
the whole child approach. I want to ensure that my lessons include all domains of the student, the physical, emotional and cognitive while engaging students in the curriculum. To do this, I need to ensure that my lessons are
inclusive and incorporate
physical activity and are
student-centered. I want students to be infused with knowledge that will lead to becoming
life long learners. In order to accomplish this, I am
enthusiastic,
empathetic and
patient. I will
respect each and every one of my students for the individual that they are. I will ensure that I
facilitate learning and opportunity for
creativity through student-centered practices and student choice. In order for this to occur, the classroom must be a
socially just place for everyone. This will also transfer to the community, as students are going to become the citizens of our society. I will always be
passionate about teaching students and allow opportunities for students to teach me.
